Are We As Mankind At The End Of Times?

Time itself is fading, not in a sense of speed but rather a sense of coming to a complete stop. There is no hope for a better future when the corruption of our world has taken a global turn for the…

Why we need to sleep

Doesn’t it feel good to sleep well?

To be against a soft comfortable pillow, eyes shut, breathing calmly, slowly floating off to sleep…

As good as that feels, its clear that we are quick to cut sleep out to make more time to be productive. Given everything we know about sleep, this is very ironic.

The amount of time you spend drooling on your pillow, does have an effect on your ability to even be productive.

So why cut it out?

Sleep affects everything in your life, from your sex drive to your mood and especially your cogitative ability. Getting enough sleep should be the first step in improving your productivity. And let me tell you a little secret (yes come closer)…It’s the easiest step to take.

If you want to be on top of your mental game, then you should make sure that you’re sleep enough but the motivation to do so may be lacking.

That’s two more hours to get sh*t done. I’m here to tell you that’s not an option and once you learn why you might enjoy those 8 hours a hellva lot more.

Meaning that sleep enables the formation of new neural connections. Without it, learning is made virtually impossible.

These are the things that make us human, all of which we rely on heavily to create a life worth living. Note that without the ability to properly self-assess — to think about the way you are thinking. Will you really be aware that you are not working at optimal levels?

Probably not.

This is especially dangerous because you could be sleep deprived for weeks to months and not realise this, but be affected with lesser cognitive performance and overall be less productive.

Lack of sleep brings about a sleep debt which can be paid at a later stage. However, the longer this debt exists, the higher the possibility of permanent damage.

Beta-amyloid,a toxic protein, will build up in the brain due to sleep deprivation. When we sleep our brain cleans out toxicants. This one in particular, has been directly linked to Alzheimer’s disease. It’s also linked to most of the degenerative diseases : Parkinson’s, Huntington’s, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis or ALS and Batten Disease.

Sleep is also very critical for the body.

Helping along the repair and construction of tissue as well as the release of important hormones such as the Human Growth Factor. And the balancing of hormones in general.

Even the reproductive system, which drives most of men’s everyday actions, is affected by poor sleep.Sleeping for five to six hours will sabotage your testosterone levels. so much so that you’ll have the T-levels of a man a decade your senior. So even if you are at the age of your viral peak you might actually not be.

After just a single night of fewer than five hours of sleep, the natural killer cells — which play a part with cancer prevention — decrease by as much as 70%. These anti-cancer cells decrease the probability of cancer formation in the prostate, bowel and breast.

So much so, that The World Health Organisation has even classified any night-time work as a probable carcinogen, as in it could lead to the growth of cancer cells.

So frequent all-nighters could give you a strong bald head in the future.

Sleeping well also affects your cardie-vascular system- when you sleep we have a drop in your blood pressure and heart rate .

Getting enough quality head- to- pillow action can’t be overstated

Twenty hours of being awake is equivalent to being legally drunk.Nearly one hundred Thousand accidents are caused every year by drowsy driving.

To break it down, 17–19 hours of being awake is as bad, if not worse than, a blood alcohol level of point five percent. (And if you’re like me then you’ll know that this will get you into a lot of hot water with the traffic cops).

So cleary sleep is super important for not only your mind but also your body but of course a questions reminds..

So how much sleep should you be getting?

Well that depends on many factors like age ,gender and how much sh*t you have to do the next day but generally, seven to nine hours should do the trick.

The younger you are the more to the latter of this range you should focus on. But actually preteens and teenagers — especially younger than seventeen — should be sleeping for eight to ten hours.

You may be getting the required amount of sleep but your quality may be lacking. Its important to have both time and quality.

Now, having an all-nighter or sleeping for four hours isn’t going to turn you to a brain weak zombie that couldn’t butter bread to save its life. Lack of sleep is something that catches up with you.

Now that you’ve read this, will you try to sleep better? If so please let me know in the comments. If you’ve enjoyed reading this give me a clap ,follow and tell a friend.
