Everybody have what we call Asset — Something of value in which they possess or own. Your home, land, estate, equipments, stocks, shares and bonds are your assets. There comes a time when the assets might be needed to be converted to cash or another asset for an impromptu need. This is where trading comes in. You must know how to buy or sell your assets effectively and efficiently to cater for your needs. Knowing how to buy and sell an asset might not be a problem, you can easily read it up. Selling an asset for profit without much hassles, lesser fees, much flexibility and little or no delays is where the problem lies. Owning an asset without the ability to sell it is so disheartening.

Using Real Estate as an example. If an investor decides to invest in real estate, he meets with the counterparty on the basis of trust, this happens on the first day. On the second day, the clearing process begins. This process involves auditing the amount, the payment structure of the assets, the availability and duration of the asset etc. When the final deal is settled is on the third day, when all auditing and clearing processes are put to a halt. In underdeveloped countries, this takes up to a week or months. How pathetic!
