You Can Get Started Writing For Pay And Generate Different Types Of Income

How do I get started writing for pay and learn to generate a decent income? Does that sound like a question that has been on your mind, possibly since the start of the global pandemic?

You’re not alone. People with little to no writing skills are just as curious about this question, as those writers who have the skills, but just don’t know how to get started.

I’ve been reading comments from aspiring writers who want to know more about the types of income you can generate. The form of revenue sharing that can be generated on popular sites like Medium is only one type of writing related income. Do you know of any more? I do, and if you continue reading, I’ll be happy to share what I know.

Since COVID, experts have noted a huge rise in work at home freelancers. One NPR report mentions a study done by a popular online freelance site. Would it surprise you to learn that writing for pay is among those notable freelancing positions? It shouldn’t.

There is a great demand for writers online; writers at every level, and in no way is the available supply of writers exceeding the demand for the writing that’s needed. Just think about it for a moment. Every single activity online is reliant on some type of writing.

What does that mean for you, if you’re serious about finding different ways to write for pay? It means you have to be willing to learn and understand what different money making methods exist (even for new writers).

Then, simply determine what needs to happen in order for you to begin taking advantage of other writing opportunities, submit your work, and start getting paid.

I realize this information may be old news to other writers who have been writing online for years and years like I have. We veteran freelance writers tend to take writing gigs and opportunities like the ones I’m about to share for granted.
