Future of Media

There often is much paranoia a fear when looking into the future. yet, at the same time many hold hopeful and eager eyes. the question is which to have, or to find some happy medium.

The pessimists and conspiracy theorists would speculate that some large media conglomerate or shadow council will take control, similar to the current state of service providers.

The optimists and hopeful among us think that the new and wondrous technology of the future will bring new and wondrous ways to view and consume media. Things such as VR and smart glasses.

Otherwise, there are those who see more of a middle ground. That there won’t be any particularly big changes, just a constant progression following the trends that are currently occurring. Essentially slow progress towards whatever the future holds, with the internet spawning more and more third-party media outlets, more and more social media and networking mediums for media, and so on and so forth.

It is hard to say what exactly the future holds. Just that there are endless possibilities and that it is up to us, as a society, to decide what road we will take.
